I confess I'm cutting back. Only covering events if there's a client at the end of it, or it's local. I have simply stopped doing longer trips.

Ummm... I had a shutter fail at a whisker under 300000 images on a barely 12 month old camera (I bought it new). So they do fail.

I'm looking to take the plunge, and after some research have decided that camera scanning is the way to go. @FishyFish are you still as happy now, a few months down the line. I really like the look of the Valoi system. My bank account needs to take a bit of breather after going a bit mad with...

Oh and this one.. Nikon AI 24mm f/2.8 Got this for a very good price. Optically and cosmetically it is very very nice. But the grease seems to have departed the helicoids so the focusing action is very free. Off to CLA soon.

And these... All SMC Pentax M: 24mm f/2.8, 30mm f/2.8, 120mm f/2.8 - all in minty condition.

Never (until now) owned a Pentax. The MX shutter is capping at 1/1000s. Anything below is OK so will send for a CLA. Bit disappointing given the description of the camera on ebay. Hey ho.

Thanks - it is! I am in the process of booking it into SWCC - but their earliest slot is mid-March 2027, which I guess is a reflection of the demand for their services. The shutter speeds above 1/60 are off so it needs looking at.

I may have answered my own question - I have stumbled across Southwest Camera Co. 'Seems' to be F3 experts.

Searched but didn't turn up anything recent. I have a Nikon F3HP that I want to have CLA'd. Who would be the go-to business to trust with the work? Thanks in advance. Pic for interest!
