Thanks both. Les has offered me a Westcott setup which sounds an ideal starter - it has the shoot thru brolly with the option of a black/reflective cover. Hopefully I can then adapt to a softbox in the future. Essentially it's just meddling at this stage so I'm sure it will be ok.....

I've just found that out after some investigation on their website! All these things are sent to try us! Thanks for the recommendation of the 70-300. I'm struggling to find one of these too just at the moment, apart from the DO version which I might end up settling for! Any views on that?

I may have to have a look into that......typical of my luck I've had an email from LFH and they can't get the 50-500 to me in time. :( Back to the drawing board it seems!

And in saying that, Lenspimp have now had the lens booked out so is no longer available. Luckily, LensesForHire have come up trumps with a non-OS Sigma 50-500 at a cheaper price, so I've jumped on it! I just hope I've done the right thing....... :)
