I ran a short roll through my Dynax 5 with 50mm f1.7 lens, with the film speed set to 20. All exposed in bright, high contrast scenes over the bank holiday.
I made the mistake (I guess) of developing differently, at 4 mins in Bellini Duo Step rather than 5 mins as last time.
The results...
I just assumed that is a regular B&W film. Seemed to develop well, if slower than box speed.
My second roll arrived today. Quite a fast delivery. The latest went into the freezer.
Guess I will be getting used to photography on a tripod, which might be a good thing.
I went with those used film cassettes that have a short length of film sticking out (Fujicolor 200 as it happens!).
lt works well and I have never had a taped joint fail. I reuse them several times.
I try to wind up most of what I need, then take the bulk roll out. Just a couple of...
I wondered if a film with a speed as low as 20-ish is any use at all. I have a roll in a Dynax5 and with my 50mm f1.7 lens on it, I can use it in bright conditions, so it could be a fun experiment. Not had a good go at it yet, just my customary shots of my garden fence in sun. You might...
I like the plastic cameras of that era. I have an F70 that I'd use if I had a nice lens for it. That was a good price to pay for a well spec'ed camera.
I have bought too many (is that possible?) plastic SLRs, quite a few Pentax MZ cams and lately a bunch of Dynax cams, all crazy cheap for...
Thanks for your comments.... To be clear, I was not knocking judges at all... As a beginner at club comps, I figured from comments received that this image may have some elements that are generally perceived as "faults". I have other images that will be entered that (at least) I am happy...
Now that I can flick between the two versions, I can see how the light blobs in the top RH corner are the first thing to grab my attention as I switch to the top image.
Here's one of my favourite images from the last couple of years. (This may have been posted before the recent edits).
Taken on a fixed focus/aperture/shutter P&S. It is on film, but that is not relevant to my post.
Now a new member of a photographic club, I'm planning on entering this in...
An image of the AGFA ISO-RAPID IF for the record.
I've had a few ISO-RAPID cameras that have had dust/mist inside the two element lens. It can't be separated and looks to be well sealed, so it's a mystery how it gets there. A few have been transferred directly to the bin. This one...
I tried to load a RAW file (Pentax) into Gimp. It popped up with a message saying that it couldn't do it and that I should load "something " via Darktable or RawTherapee. I have Darktable loaded and that sees the RAW file. I guess that maybe there's a module or similar that can be attached...
A Few from a walk to Blackstone Edge and the Pennine Way. (Between Manchester and Halifax)

Directions to the White House pub.

Yet another Agfa ISO-RAPID camera arrived. This is the "I" version. Looks similar to the "C" but has a lens mounted shutter release which operates more softly.
I took it on holiday, but should have tested it properly first... They are all a bit soft and Holga like, but this one is...
