A 500mm F/4 L is ......From MPB , new to me( god knows what folks buy after trading in these big lenses or where they get the money ! ) Now to sell my multi-gym as i think carrying this will keep me fit :woot:

Very good lens for the money , google reviews and a full frame lens as well , some stuff on youtube comparisons ,reviews etc .....I have one and love it !

I think the Sigma 17-50 2.8 is not for full frame , Sigma DG are full frame lens , DC are APS-C Like your 40d , you would need a 24-70 or Tamron 28-75 2.8 ( these are below £200 s/h ) on FF .

Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM......ideal walk about lens for a 60d , I found you get what you pay for with These lens i.e. Cheap kit lens are ok glass wise but lacking build quality up to L series usually built like a tank ,weather proof and top notch glass .

Loving my cushion !
