The original poster asked for nikons best lenes without reference to any cost. So I think the 200mm f2 vr1 or vr11 should be in the mix as should the 300mm f2.8 be as both are fantastically sharp with great definition. Also the Nikon 200mm f4 macro lens is a great addition to any camera bag...

AUTO AF FINE TUNE Has anyone tried the auto af fine tune on their D5 or D500 yet. Not sure I should risk it (not very techy). Cheers Keith

I've fixed it. I took it to bits and super glued the bolt back and tightened it securely and I've super glued (sounds like a advert for Loctite) the column back in place. I did price up a replacement but they are about £120.00 from Manfrotto. Thanks for your suggestions. Cheers Keith

The problem is that the plate with the screws in it has come off the top of the column and are they now separate. The screw that tightens it back on is only accessible with a very long extension and socket that's longer than the column to tighten it back up. Looks like a super glue job. Cheers Keith

I have a Manfrotto 055cx tripod and the plate on the end of the centre column has come loose. It seems to need an extra long extension socket to tighten it back up again. Anyone else had this problem. Cheers Keith

I may have found an answer. I think it's downloading to an older version or Lightroom because there is still two older versions on the control panel list of installed programs. There's Lightroom cc and two more in the list. Can I just uninstall the older ones without any bother? cheers Keith

Your right I do have photoshop 2015.5 and raw 9.6. I Think I'll give adobe a ring and see what they say. Thanks for your efforts gramps. Cheers Keith

I'm using the version that I downloaded from adobe when I took out the yearly subscription and I've kept up with all the updates. When I checked all the updates were current. I believe it's version 9.6

That's right gramps. I ordered the camera in April and realised that I would have to update my editors so I went with photoshop cc to make sure I had the right gear but no go so far. Cheers Keith
