    Totally disgusting south London police

Correct. To be guilty of murder, there has to be an intent to kill or cause grievous bodily harm (if memory serves me). Pre planning is neither here nor there. If charged, he then has the usual defences to to persue if pleading not guilty. Diminished Responsibility, Autonomy, Self Defence...

    Duncryne Hill

Sticky up branches/twigs in the foreground are a shame.

    Critique Heybridge Basin wreck

It looks like you've already lost the blacks in trying to force the contrast when the light was flat. There really is no substitute for good light. If you want a lot of contrast in mono images, you'll need to shoot on a sunny day.

    Dovercourt Lighthouse

You might have got away with it but I saw your docks one from Felixstowe, and I know from experience that water is never that calm. Same goes for Dovercourt really. You've done a good job on them though. ;)

    Dovercourt Lighthouse

Almost too perfect. Would it be rude to ask if it was composite/blended image? It's very well done if it is.

Your White Balance seems a bit on the cool side. A quick click on 'Auto White Balance' brings it up like this, which is probably more like it was on the day?

Grasmere, beautiful on a dreary day

Nice composition for me. Gives you a way in.

    dalmally to tyndrum sunset

First is a nice scene but snow looks under exposed to me?

    Pendle Hill Mono

I think he (Kodiak QC) was actually giving praise in the use of the tools. To use the flip-side of your analogy, the tools are useless without a skilled carpenter. Basically he was complementing the processing, but your were rather quick to disagree with something you didn't appear to have read...

Drone picture from Busby looking towards Glasgow.

You can get rid of the noise if you have a large enough file, and don't want to enlarge too much.

    Coastal Sunset

    Ahh, Shingle Street. Nice light.

    High Force waterfall.

Plenty of detail in that one. Just needs some work. Here's one overdone, just to show you what is there. Sky is close to blown but difficult to avoid given the light. Might want to think about composing without the sky if possible, unless it's adding some interest.

    High Force waterfall.

You do understand that you can have blocked shadows and blown highlights all in the same image don't you? Open the image up in ACR or similar and have a look. You will see lost detail at both ends.

    High Force waterfall.

Yes, lost detail in highlights and shadows are blocked.
