I used to use a Dell 2209wa (22" 1680 x 1050) but then got a LG IPS 235V (23" 1920 x 1080). The Dell was better I'd say apart from resolution, although the LG is a good screen too.
They look to great for a camera phone, very nice colours and nicely composed. I think the first has good interest, the second has a good sky but not much else happening and the last one is probably the best composed in my opinion.

Not sure how far is not too far, but there is The Fyrish Monument near Evanton/Dingwall. There is also some nice wee lochs in the area, such as at Torrachilty, Loch Ussie, Loch Garve etc. In the Garve area, there is also Rogie Falls and Blackwater bridge. A few ideas there which might be of help.
Very nicely captured, always enjoy a good castle photo! :) I like that moon is positioned above the tower, helps draw focus to it. The colours are also nice and vivid. My only criticism would be the buildings are leaning a bit due to the distortion (especially the church tower in the background).
Quite an impressive landscape, some nice light and colours there too. I'd be tempted to crop a little of the top though and it would have been nice to see the edge of the land on the right hand side. I wouldn't mind visiting that direction sometime. :)
I have a Asus P6T motherboard with a i7 920 processor. I read somewhere I think that there can be issues between Corsair PSU's and Asus motherboards in regards to this failure (something to do with a safety feature on the board to prevent it starting if it thinks it will overload). Hopefully...
