I am very fortunate to live in the beautiful county of Cornwall in the far south west corner of England
I first became seriously interested in photography in 1983 when I bought a 35mm SLR camera (a Minolta X700). Shortly afterward I set up a home darkroom using a second-hand Durst Enlarger and began processing my own films and printing both monochrome and colour prints.
In 1987 I switched to a Nikon F3 35mm SLR and also a Mamiya (Medium Format) camera. The F3 (which I still have for film photography) served me faithfully until I finally‘went digital’ in 2008 - currently I am using both Canon and Leica digital cameras.
I enjoy photographing a variety of subjects, never really focusing (no pun intended) on any particular style or genre.
My other interests include: sport (in particular football and motor sports), european films, music, oh and yes.... I’m also quite partial to a glass or two of decent red wine!
