I'm asked to cover several events and am looking to buy a dye sub printer to do onsite printing.
The last time I looked into it a couple of years ago the DS40 seemed a good bet.
Would people still recommend that model or are there newer alternatives available now that I should consider?

I used to get mine from deal extreme and put a pencil in the shaft as the tend to be a bit weak. Cheap enough to buy a few and experiment with cutting them down to size.
