When do you feel that a battery is passed its best ? I took about 30-40 shots last week and that used 2 bars, which implies that I’d be running out of juice after 100 shots or so…seems very low
Are there any recommended 3rd party batteries or best to stick with the NP126S for my XS10 ?
I’m just trying this out at this point to see if I “need” something like this. Getting rid of the 2 lenses I wasn’t using made the 10-24 free ( actually I’m up… sort of )
The Sigma is much smaller, quicker and 2/3rds of the weight so perhaps those win over the extra ££ to buy ?
That’s the “issue”, it’s so easy to just use my phone instead as I only put photos in Insta. I prefer the extra details in the files of a camera though, as well as the “experience” of using one.
I’m blaming you for putting this “need” back in my head. My widest lens is the 18 f2 but sometimes it’s just not wide enough so I don’t use it very often
Initially I was thinking about the Viltrox 9mm but now I’m thinking about getting rid of my 18mm and 50mm f2 ( used that twice in 18 months...
Have you tried going to the Menu -> Custom Menu (Gear) -> C1 (or Release/Image Stabilizer) -> Release Priority S-AF/C and turn it ON.
Sometimes the camera does not “see” the lens
I’m looking at this now as LR for iPad , the 100gb version, is increasing from £4.49 to £6.99 at the end of the month. That’s a substantial jump ( I know it’s only £2.50/m ) imo
You *can* get close to the track but most likely you’ll be 2 or 3 deep and the bales are high. You might be better with a roving grandstand pass. Thursday used to be quiet now is busy, I expect the weekend will be hellish
If you’re looking for shots in the paddocks, displays etc then 50mm is ok...
Yeah, that 10mm could be an issue. I recall when I used Nikon I had a 10-20 ( I think ) and it was so wide it wasn’t great.. unless you liked shooting basking sharks
