Is it worth going full on micro 4/3?

I went from M4/3 to Sony RX10M4 for that reason, I'll be 81 in a couple of weeks. With it's 24-600mm lens (in FF), It's a bag-full of lenses in one body. Will I go back to M4/3 only time will tell.

    Ground Pod Mk1

I always thought that ball heads and the like were threaded 3/8" BSW not UNC. Both 16 TPI, but different tread form.

Is it time for a rethink

"If it aint broke, then don't fix it" Hello Jeff, I really cant see that you will gain anything, except extra/alternative gear at some cost and weight. Your M4/3 images of birds are some of the best out there with any gear. At 81 and still with long covid, my reason for going to Sony RX10M4...

    Sony RX10M4...not bad for a 1" sensor.

As I said....I was gobsmacked by the IQ. :$

    Sony RX10M4...not bad for a 1" sensor.

I'll be 81 in March and got fed-up lugging my OM-1 and a bag of lenses around, in fact I just could not manage it. So I sold my M4/3 gear and settled for a RX10M4 with it;s bag-full-of-lenses in one body. I'm very pleased with this camera/lens and looking forward to warmer times. I was...

Mirrorless "shutter count" when buying used

Shutter count with Oly only relates to mechanical shutter, electric shutter actuations ar not recorded.

    Sony RX 100 Mk7

Sorry for the confusion. I refer to the tiny plastic fragile things that cover the connectors, the battery/card door is just about good enough.

    Sony RX 100 Mk7

A great high-end expensive camera totally ruined by the same old doors that I'm sure are the same as the ones I had on the Mk1 back in 2012 I think it was. Shame on you Sony.

I'm 80 with sparrows wrists, the combo is just too heavy for me at 3.6lb. I'm going back to M4/3 Macro, OM-1 + 90mm F3.5 Macro at just 2.3lb a saving of 1.3lb. Nothing wrong with the 70mm, a fabulous lens, just the weight.
