Hi, I have both lenses and a nikon d300s, they are both fantastic lenses. On a d300 body for weddings the 24-70 2.8 every time, you will be able to shoot nearly everything. Tha 70-200 2.8 is much better for lovely blur backgrounds, candid shots but not flexable on a d300. Also I use the 24-70...
