Just to add . There’s lots of old hostorIf parts of newcastle - old walls / steps / monasteries and the like from the original castle days . A walking tour should I expect take u to a lot of them . Also the metro (tube equivalent) will get you to tynemoth in about 30 mins and that’s a nice...
They'll all up to the job mate . I'd suggest canon as lenses second hand are easier to come by . But just pick the one you like the best . You'd be better off with a prime for portrait photography . Mind the nifty fifty which you mention is great in good natural light but not so good in low...
I still love me x100 (original). Is it really worth upgrading?
While i'm on though - could anyone recommend a good shoulder or neck strap that fits onto the camera and doesnt scratch the camera please?
Hi All
Love my fuji x100 but what I'd really like it a good neck / shoulder strap for it. Ideally one that won't scratch the body. Can anyone recommend one please?
Thanks
David
I would try both . Depends on what u are after . 35 most flexible as u can move forward . 50 u can't always move back . Mind I love a 50 on a crop sensor but maybe that's me . I like to get more portrait like shots in .
Ps one thing with kids - you want a fast shutter speed as the ability to take a lot of shots per second as well as fast focusing
I have a 50mm 1.4 on a canon 550d . Perfect for lots of occasions. .
Have a play and you'll see what you prefer . 6ft is fine for the 55 . Pros will often have two camera for this problem so there's one for u to think about - lol
Making a nice cup of tea is more than having a fancy kettle . Get yourself a nice cheap camera and fast lens and go play . Buy some books , read some forums , practice and ask for feedback .
Look to spend no more than 300 - if a ways buy second hand . Canon 550d plus a canon 50 1.8 will get...
Go with your friends advice . More fun if u can share gear . And as most will tell you hardly any difference between the two but canon gear second hand easier to get hold off - slightly
