Problems with the effect you describe with the X-Trans sensor are largely down to the RAW converter used - most Adobe versions being pretty poor. Iridient X Transformer and Capture 1 converters do not exhibit this problem.

The situation seems very variable - we have had emails today from the National Trust and Westonbirt Arboretum saying that they are staying open pretty much as (recent) normal (although only outside, especially NT places).

I needed some timber today and, much to my surprise, Homebase was the cheapest and they had it in stock. I normally never go there as their stores are pretty dismal, but this was a happy exception.

I went to Westonbirt Arboretum last week to enjoy the glorious autumn colours of the Japanese Maples. Apparently these trees and shrubs are now so popular that gardeners have started forming special Acer Clubs, and buying dedicated planting tools called Acer spades.
