Images fine when viewed in Lightroom and on laptop, but pixellated when viewed on mobile phone.

I must admit I'm not sure how to check the size of the file on the phone itself, will have to have a play around. It's displaying as slightly pixelated on both our phones, which are both Google pixels but different versions. Even our lovely wedding photos are a little pixelated when zoomed in...

Images fine when viewed in Lightroom and on laptop, but pixellated when viewed on mobile phone.

I'm sure this must be a simple enough error I am making - I shoot on a Nikon D750, using a Sigma 35mm and a Sigma 70-200, both of which are perfectly capable lenses and have captured loads of crystal clear images for me. However, I recently sent some images from my laptop (having edited them in...

What is the importance of Artistic Intent in photography?

That's quite heavy! To be honest you could apply your thoughts above to just about any art form - drawing, painting, theatre, music etc. There is no 'right' way of doing photography, it is such a subjective thing, and everyone has (and is entitled to) their own means of expression.

We have just renewed Prime and Series 2 of Sneaky Pete is first on my hit list, great first season.

    Best shows on Prime/Netflix?

If you have read the books, it's fantastic. The books are so immersive and incredibly well written, it was a joy to watch it come to life on the screen, especially as so many TV adaptations fall short of what you would expect.

    WAMT....what annoyed me today!

Having a new room mate move in with me out here in sunny Afghan, only for him to then get up at 0600 hrs on Friday....Friday being the one day of the week no one has to be up and in work before 1000. FML. *makes coffee*

    Bleak Easter

Fair points guv, loving that second image that you've softened down and now the harsh processing is taken away for some reason I'm not so distracted by the background, in fact it compliments it more.

    Canon 5D Mark 3

Thank you - good to see they are still around, but why is there such an alarming lack of them around? Is it just the age of the model now? It's SUCH a good camera, I am surprised to see Canon themselves not still stocking it.

    Canon 5D Mark 3

Been looking to purchase one of these, however the official Canon store and the couple of independent retailers I've checked don't stock this anymore....am I missing something? Has it been discontinued in favour of the Mark IV? I will be gutted if you can't pick them up new anymore as they look...

What settings and lens did you use? I do like the idea behind the image, just wish you had used a wider aperture to lose more of the background, that pram really distracts me and draws my eye away from the main subjects. If a wider aperture wasn't a possibility then perhaps you could have gone...

ISO - Waste of time when shooting RAW?

I will give it a go when I next get out, but I am one of those that prefers to get everything right in-camera as far as humanly possible, for me that is all part of the photography experience. I would find it soul-destroying always heading home with a series of black images and hoping I could do...

ISO - Waste of time when shooting RAW?

Your points are not invalid - I just don't agree with them. If you want to be all about the post-production, go and be a graphics designer. Of course, like every industry things evolve over a long period of time and as that happens we all gradually shift our mindsets. However, I genuinely feel...

ISO - Waste of time when shooting RAW?

Spot on my friend! This is just yet another example of lazy photography and relying too heavily on RAW as a crutch for bad workmanship (not to say RAW is bad, I exclusively shoot in RAW, but I still work my ass off to get it right 'live', so that editing is minimal).
