Yep that's essentially what i was looking for, looks like the more expensive cards are worth it on the 5D3 for sports. happened to stumble upon this after much searching too confirming findings. http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/41616340

I'm sure this will have been asked before but i can't find a definitive answer to what i'm looking for. Which CompactFlash card is going to hit the limits of a 5D Mk iii - I.E. The write speeds to the card are not the limiting factor when taking PHOTOS. Not interested in video limits at all...
