    [Uganda] Megafauna

My wife and I have got back from Uganda on safari. The highlights were the primates! I'll share a few highlights with you. Kit wise, the body is a Nikon Z6, and the lenses were either the 70-200 2.8 or the 400 4.5. Full gallery here...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

The Z6 is going on a second safari, leaving on Monday to Uganda. This time I've rented the Nikon 400 4.5 to go with the 70-200 and 1.4TC. Hopefully have plenty of focal ranges covered. I'd have loved to have got a Z8 for the trip but the maths didn't add up on this occasion, maybe next time!

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Now we've had firmware V3.01 do you think that's it for the major advancements? No other camera has gone past v3.5 IIRC? Or do Nikon have track record of delivering some big changes after a year on the flagship line? I'm toying with the idea of getting one. But wondering if that's it on the...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

My 1.4TC has landed from Nikon directly. It seems like they're back out of stock now so I think I was lucky. Time to experiment with it on the 70-200.

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

I've bought a 1.4TC from Nikon direct as they apparently had stock in. Let's see about lead times! Next will be the 400 4.5 and a Z9

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

I need to pick the collective hive mind.... After getting back from Africa I am completely revitalised for wildlife photography. I would like to change my Tamron 150-600G2 for a Nikon prime. Therein lies my dilemma. I wish Nikon made a 300 or 400 2.8 (that I doesn't cost the same as a car!)...

    Safari: Big Cats

Thank you! It was incredible, once in a life time sort of trip. Luckily we worked out how to make it somewhat reasonably priced! Thank you! If you're referring to image 5 that's a cheetah. I guess having no facilities to brush your teeth or wash your face after eating animals and sitting in 35...

    Safari: Elephants

We've recently got back from safari in Tanzania and I wanted to share some of my better shots. One thing that amazed me, was how close they come to you! All shots with a Nikon Z6 and 70-200. 1: 2: 3: 4: 5:

    Africa Photography

I've just returned from Tanzania on safari (post coming soon!). The biggest thing for me was actually the LACK of zoom you need at times! Your experience may differ, but my wife was actually getting some great snaps with just an iPhone. I was using a full frame camera and found the 70-200 to...
