Humble feedback from a newbie
Fav is number 1, I love the reflection in the glasses. Everything seems a little blownout but i guess that comes with the harsh winter sun.
Having shot skating for so many years number three is ruined by the timing just a second later would have made it!
Nice set
Im no expert but the burn/dodge ratio looks a little off, There seems to be a flat circle on her nose and right cheek. I really like the skin tones as a whole but I have to agree with @Bobsyeruncle that the hair looks a bit washed out.
Again though with my limited experience I would be more...
I Think this is fantastic as a family image for your relatives, you have done a nice job photoshopping heads on as I can't tell the ones you have changed. The only thing I would change is how separate the two rows feels, Sofa's are hard as you everyone had a different position and it leaves a...
Thanks for the feedback, Looking forward to playing with a hair light and a reflector. What color is the backdrop you use with your kids? Is it black with a light on it?
Thanks you, Im hopefully getting a cheapo snoot this week.
Many Thanks
Thanks :) I cant stop seeing this now you have...
Hey,
Firstly thanks to all your for making this such an awesome community, I have learnt more in the last few week on these forums than I have in the last year.
So I decided to buy a softbox. Im a budget photographer in every sense of the word so after lots of googleing I settled on the Godox...
Really love the skin tones in these, Its that look i'm trying to get but alludes me... Did you do alot in PP? No 1 is my favourite.
I get what you mean about the kids, I normally get mine to hand around for 10 pictures max before they are back to playing upstairs.
Thanks :) Totally agree about the crop.
Mucho Gracias !
Wow thank you :) Are you from newcastle? I grew up around there then moved to wales and took up photography.... Need to go one a camera holiday up there
Good call on the yellow band, little things make a big difference. The noise is...
I Like the first one best, The detail in the hair look really nice. The lighting looks really soft. Im not 100% sure its not just my eyes but there seems to be something a little off about the wrinkles around her mouth, did you smooth skin in PP?
Using a Cheap flash aimed into a softbox and natural sunlight from a window. Backdrop is the back of a wooden shoe rack.
Im getting happier with the colours, I probably should have shot this landscape to lose some of the dead space uptop.
Looking for feedback please :)
How much difference do you see in the image quality? more specifically the depth and detail and tones. I understand 99% of photography is about lighting, Composition and PP but then why does a pro camera cost £1000's.
Thanks :) This is my wee daughter who was rather fed up of daddy pictures at the time...
Yeah I was toying with leaving them but it's hard to get an image to pop without playing with the eyes

I love this so much, I cant even pick out what it is I like so much but my eyes just dart around the image. I agree the catch lights look better left in place.
