    Sigma 18-35 f/1.8

Correct they gather the same amount of light, the lens will behave like a F2.7 DOF-wise

Nikon DX Lens and crop factor questions.

hi, Your 18-55mm is 27-82.5mm (in 35mm/FX eq.) and your 35mm is 52.5mm (in 35mm/FX eq). You basically just multiply all lenses with the appropriate factor, in this case 1.5, to get what they would be for a lens on a 35mm/FX body.

    Tamron 24-70 VC on a D7100?

This looks really good, you could even have the Nikkor 70-200 f4 for just a bit more for a lighter/sharper lens if you dont need the 2.8-4 range

    Tamron 24-70 VC on a D7100?

why not just buy the D7000 and use the money you saved (350 GBP pound cheaper + a 100GBP cashback from nikon) for a 17-50 2.8 and a 70-200 2.8?

You're going to have a hard time going to Jessops since they are bankrupt. You could check out Calumet right next to Euston.

Nikon D7000 - Would You? + 300mm lens which one?

:plusone: the only thing I have to add is that the new Tamron 70-200 VC is supposed to be pretty good but priced at 200GBP below the Nikon I would go for the Nikon.

Nikon D7000 - Would You? + 300mm lens which one?

Hi, To be able to help you it would be really helpful to know your budget for the new lens.

    A few beginner questions

Thats just how cheap it is :). Given your budget I would just buy either the 35mm or 50mm. The extra reach the 50mm gives you is equal to taking 1-2 steps forward. I would not recommend spending money on training, the internet has a lot of sites (including this one) with almost all the info...

I think the best thing you can do is just bring a tripod and lower the shutterspeed until you get a decent pic :)
