    Critique Scottish Junior Football

Hi all I've not posted for a while. Here's a few from an eventful game last Saturday - Clydebank vs Cumnock, which ended in a 2-all draw. For those that don't know (and the grade title is a little misleading), Junior in Scotland is kinda the equivalent of 'Non-League' down South. Captured on...

    Malaysian Open..............Golf

Great stuff. Particularly like the last one. Ball and tee in flight and great facial expression. Eye on the ball right to the strike.

    Get in line!

The local paper made good use of this one of mine on the back page recently. From Largs Thistle vs Clydebank. Weird formation! Follow da leader by Stevie Doogan, on Flickr

Need a new bag for camera + 17" laptop

Lowepro Fastpack 350 or 350AW would accommodate you. I personally use the 350 and it's a terrific bag.

    Football Players team photos

Thanks for this, great tips. Especially about shooting from slightly above and the wearing of undergarments. I found myself PS-ing some neck areas last season because of this. Unfortunately plain old boots are becoming less common in favour of the more garish!

    Clydebank vs Kirkintilloch Rob Roy

Right enough Chris, I hadn't noticed they're all of similar perspective. I don't consciously crop to a particular size, just whatever suits each image. Purely coincidental this selection are all square! See what you mean about that extra crop. Cheers

    Clydebank vs Kirkintilloch Rob Roy

Well spotted! It does detract a bit and I almost PS'd it out. I also tried leaving in the player it belongs to but it took away from the expressions of the main subjects. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.

    Sigma 70-200 2.8 OS

Looking at the Exif detail, it appears that its set for 51-point AF AF-C Also that the focus point used is 48 (E1). I'm not sure what point that is though. Have you tried less AF points (AF-9), on AF-S and ensured the focus point is what you need (centre point maybe?). However, I may be well...
