    Nikon D7xxx owners thread

Hmmmm, I own a D5000 currently. Is the jump to a d7000 worth it? Do you benefit much from the increased number of AF? Does the pixel increase show up much? Is this the best Nikon non full frame camera? that seems to be the view from what ive read so far. I think i would benefit from the...

    Nikon Compatible Macro Lenses

I bought the tamron 90mm last year and am perfeclty happy with it. It has the auto focus built in so im using it on d5000 just fine. It is a bit "hunty" though which was as the reviews said. But for £350 it made more sense than the nikon one that was about £600 at the time. I use maunual...

I think that's what they are called. Want something to hold flowers still etc for macro. Anyone done anything ingenious with household things as a cheap alternative? Was thinking maybe wire and clothes peg? Or am I just being cheap!!!

    Reflection in drops

This sort of thing was my next project! How did u get so many drops to stay on? Just water or add anything? What rig did you use to hold bits in place? Any tips on how u achieved it all? Any advice would be great. What lighting? Not sure I can achieve shots of the quality of this with just my...

    Local sunset shots...

Not done any sunset shots yet. Just read an exposure book where it's advocated to manually expose for the sky either side of the sun. Can I ask how you exposed for this and what white balance? Though I'm guessing u used raw so wb no issue? Love the colour. Still hunting for good locations...

What prompts you to comment/offer feedback

As a newcomer I welcome all the help I can get. On my shots I try to put how I took it and what difficulty I had. That way I hope folk can give me more directed tips. I would really like to see how other people take their shots. What camera, lens, settings, light, time of day etc and how they...

    First attempts at sports photo

That's a great point about squatting down. Maybe I'll take a small stool next time. Messed up last time as had camera set to jpeg and raw and the camera spent too much time in between continuos shot writing to the card. It's so hard when u get such limited chances in sporting action. Much...
