    Return of a Scot

Evening all, I joined talk photography back in the summer of 2009. I have been very busy photography wise over the past few years, and look forward to sharing my work, as well as helping others just starting out, and meeting fellow landscape photographers. You can find links to my own...

    Sunrise and light play

I didn't get any gnd filter specifically for the lens, I've had and been using my set of Hitech gnd filters for a while now. I'd suggest either Hitech or Lee filters, and if you can really fork out the money, go for the Sighn Ray. Stay well clear of Cokin for obvious reasons.

    Sunrise and light play

Ha, nope it's Beecraigs country park. :) I used a gradual nd filter to hold back the sky. I don't have an nd filter that fits my new wide angle lens yet. Thanks everyone.

Thanks for all the comments. Two more I've processed from Crail.

    Sunrise and light play

These are my first shots with my new wide angle lens, Sigma 10-20mm, really enjoying it! I ventured out at 6am this morning to a location I've been looking forward to visiting at sunrise/sunset. When I was driving home, thick fog covered the area. I then decided to see if it was still present at...

    Moody Skies

Really nice mood you captured here Vulkan. Good all round composition, and exposure!

    Lake District, Sunset to Sunrise

Great work, the third, fourth, and fifth are the best of the bunch. The light in the third shot is stunning, great colours in the landscape as well.

    Porthleven, Cornwall Storming it up!

Raw, and powerful nature, thanks a lot for sharing these with us! Second and third shots are my favorite.

    Lake Pukaki, NZ

Good strong composition making good use of the dynamic cloud coverage. Good control of lighting on the foreground rocks, and water. Very calm water as well, I really like it. Well done, NZ looks like a beautiful country that I'd like to visit some time soon.

Damn I love where I live

First shot is technically the best. It has the strongest composition, most accurate exposure, and well focused. Gotta watch the highlights, a lot are really blown out in the third image.

    Latest landscapes - Scotland(cont.)

Yeah, the sky could have a little more contrast, just haven't got round to editing that yet. Kily tock is in the distance, this waterfall into the sea has always been there, well, definitely 8 weeks ago anyway. :D Thanks.

Unusual shots from Newcastle upon Tyne

Definitely like the first shot looking straight up, and the third of the art deco stairs. They feel the most natural lighting, and colour wise. The rest look notably tonemapped which isn't usually to my taste unless done well enough that it isn't noticeable. Well done, and keep up the good work. :)
