Thanks , do you think the 3200 is worth spending the extra money on ?

After some deliberation & some welcome input from here i was going to settle for the nikon d3100, however some places have suggested that the 3200 is going to replace it - does anyone know if this is the case or will the 3100 carry on ?

Many thanks , running a small shop myself i prefer to buy at a local shop for the guarantee , service & advice - i value this far more than saving a few pounds

i really appreciate all your input - lots to think about - several trips to shops to compare things is the way forwards

So my best option would not be to buy a twin lens package - just the basic pack & save for a good lens?

I have access to a free 75 -300 tamron lens from an older canon , presuming this will fit the 1100d should this sway my choice , though there are nikon packages available with 2 lenses
