I've been on the betas for about three months. No problems with the OS or any of the software, including LRC and PS. Still no problems with the public release version.

I use Apple Maps but a friend of mine swears by the Organic Maps app, which is free and based on OpenStreetMap. It is an offline map so it takes up storage space but means that you can use it where you can't get a mobile data connection. Plus the maps are updated twice a month.

Some people have been able to use a passport by scanning the same side twice. The same caveats apply about sufficient light and placing it on a dark background apply. We do, but there's a price and a waiting list. Might be better for some than going the Android route...

Credit cards can be used to prove that you're 18 or over. Debit cards can't since the minimum age for getting one is 6 years old.

Some people have reported that it works best if you lay the licence on a dark background, then frsme the licence to take up most of the screen. I had to have two goes at it. If your Apple account is old enough, it can register you as an adult silently, behind the scenes. No one (yet) seems to...

Yes, and the one that's caused a lot of people on Reddit to decide to dump Apple and go with an Android phone. Apple really haven't thought very deeply about how this will affect people in the UK that don't have a credit card or a driving licence. Some people have got it to work by scanning one...

I assume you leave Automatic Updates off and never do a manual update until you're ready. Perhaps someone else out there has a better answer.
