CDAF is what DSLRs had to resort to for live view, where having the mirror flipped up renders the PDAF system inoperative. Not all DSLRs had it.
Later versions of several Oly 4/3 lenses (usually with a blue ring around the lens near the front, I think) are supposed to be optimised for CDAF and...
Have you got a mate with a metal detector? Assuming there is enough metal in it to find.
eBay has G1s with 14-45s attached for a little over £100, which is quite a bargain for a nice kit lens.
Edit: on second thoughts, don't trample all the bluebells :(
One part of the grip is always on my OM-D - I can't recommend it highly enough. Interesting the way some people are using both parts of the grip with no battery in the camera, though.
The biggest problem is the way that my right thumb still twitches after releasing the shutter - never did on...

I like my Think Tank retrospective 5 - but too small, unless you're thinking of selling off some of your kit soon. The Crumpler Pretty Boy 7500 does for me and decent examples turn up on eBay now and again...
