    Duxford Summer Airshow 25.7.21

Regarding panning, 1/400 or 1/320 is a good place to start, with 1/250 being a sweet spot in my opinion for heavier warbird types. I agrre, it's a bit trickier than motorsport! You'll want your IS on a panning mode, if it has one.

Canon 500 F4L IS USM Service

Hi All, Does anyone have any recommendations for the service of a 500 F4L? I appear to have missed the boat with regard to Canon servicing it! Thanks in advance, Harry.

Duxford Airshows - Waste of time and money!

It's actually not *too* bad if you stand up at the M11 end, you will often get topsides as aircraft bank round as they run in and reposition, and the sun is in a good position for this. It's not exactly Shuttleworth, but I've got some nice images from there. You will also get the aircraft power...

Hurricane and Sea Fury T20 @ Duxford

Good efforts given the conditions. I'd maybe be tempted to pull the shadows up a bit on the Fury though, especially the closer crop. If you arrive early, you should be able to see the majority of the museum, if you forgo the Land Warfare and possibly Hangar 5 (well that's what I'd skip...

    "Tornado"

A nice shot, but I would be tempted to crop out the green fence on the left hand side and also maybe have a go at cloning that on the right? The crop would also improve the focus on the train.

Thanks both! No.3 was cool, waiting and hoping the sun would hold out as there was a rather threatening cloud approaching! Thank you

    Favourite shots from 2018

Well I had an absolutely fantastic year in 2018, the weather was amazing and managed so many fantastic shows... Here's a very small selection of my favourites from this last year; 1) Voodoo/Steve Hinton Jr. After the Sunday show at Planes of Fame, Chino, Voodoo was taxied up to the VIP area. I...

I hadn't heard of Dorbluth & Sohn before. They look lovely! I like the look of the 99.9. Nice, always liked the Longines Legend Diver. Shame they discontinued the dateless version though. My latest acquisition... Absolutely loving it!

    WBMT.....What baffled me today

Just use your foglights, like everyone else! Much easier than a trip to Halfrauds.

Hmm, time to dump flickr and finally build my own website?

Well I've just binned 2800 photos. Most of it was old s***e anyway, so probably for the best.
