    "Panasonic G series" Owners Thread

I agree as a fellow sufferer. I sold my Nikon D7000 for the same reason. I now use a Panasonic GX7, GX80, GM5 (my hiking camera) and an Olympus Em10 Mk 2 (nice big dials when my hands are really bad). M4/3 brings back the enjoyment of photography. Incidentally I don't see why you should have...

    Move from D7000 to mirrorless

I sold my D7000 and have never regretted it. I use a Panasonic GX80 with the Panny 100-300 and really love it. The 100-400 is said to be excellent though outside of my budget.

    Olympus OM-D E-M5, E-M1, E-M10 - Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 Owners Thread

Nice shots Mike. Have you tried shooting through a rainy window yet. I find on mine in AF mode it's very difficult to get it to focus in the distance - the camera always tries to focus on the window. My GX80 seems to work out which I want to focus on much easier and chooses the distance in...

    The pain of photography

After many injuries, mountains are dangerous things, I sold my Nikon D7000 and heavy lenses and converted to m4/3. The best thing I ever did. I just can't believe I was stupid enough to carry all that heavy stuff around when m4/3 are so good now.

Getting fit for better pictures !!

I walk 5 mile most days over flat and hills to keep fit, before or after work, 2 ten milers over most weekends. With advancing years however the fitness doesn't stop shoulder pain, back pain and joint pain. Keeping fit is a great help but remember to keep the equipment light, else you are only...

Panasonic vs Olympus Quality, Help Required

As an old user of the GX85 (G80 in UK) and a new owner of the Olympus EM10 Mark II these are my thoughts so far. Not a technical view as I haven't had much chance to test the Olympus outside much due to Gales and Storms. Size wise I prefer the GX85 as it fits into my existing bags better, but I...

I load mine into Lightroom. It will tell you that the mp4 is not supported in Develop mode, but it is in Library module. Go to the folder which it was imported into (not the last import collection as it wont work there). Double click on the mp4 and it will open up. Scroll along the mp4 filmstrip...

I agree. DNG best way to go. I absolutely refuse to join Adobe LR money making scheme. I also use LR5 and Adobe DNG. Works across all my cameras.

Wild Garlic and lichen by Barbara, on Flickr I just realised I first started this thread in Sept 2010. I thought it's about time I posted a photo. This was taken on my GM5, although not so many options as my GX7 and GX80 it's a lovely light camera to carry when I'm out hillwalking.

Thanks Simon and R.Y.K LEE. I'll give it a try when I'm out in the wilderness.

Sorry to sound so dumb Simon, but if there is no Wifi nearby, and no phone signal, how do they see each other??

Feeling disappointed - no remote on GX80 I have had the GX80 for a while now and today I decided to use my Hahnel remote control with it. I now find that it doesn't have a port for the remote lead. I can't believe that Panasonic has left this off. How can you shoot remotely using your smart...
