Beginner Nikon D750 Not Autofocusing in view finder

Update: New D750 has arrived and works like an absolute charm with the same lens attached. Autofocus is fast as anything and crisp too absolutely loving this camera. Can't wait for my FX lens to show up now too and I'll be sorted :D Unfortunately I have no clue what was wrong with the other...

Beginner Nikon D750 Not Autofocusing in view finder

I have sent the camera back today but I will reply to those who have commented here with what I tried before hand. If they let me know what was wrong with it I'll certainly post an update but for now it's been sent back to the retailer. The phase detect sensor definitely could have been...

Beginner Nikon D750 Not Autofocusing in view finder

It does register that it's in DX mode however it's not focusing in the viewfinder so I'm assuming it's a fault. I understand an FX lens would allow me to get the full effect of full frame but I'm not in a position to grab one just yet. This is a very good shout and it was extremely out when it...

Beginner Nikon D750 Not Autofocusing in view finder

Ah reset, yes I have reset the camera and all the settings too. I have the exact same 70-300 attached to my D3500 and a Nikon AF-P DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G but I have the same problem with all three lenses. It's happy to focus via live view but not the view finder.

Beginner Nikon D750 Not Autofocusing in view finder

    1. Nikon AF-P DX Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR 2. Yes, but these lenses work fine with my Nikon D3500 3. By fully rest do you mean ensure it's been fully charged for 48 hours? If so, yes. If not could you let me know thank you!

Beginner Nikon D750 Not Autofocusing in view finder

Hi all! I've recently just upgraded my Nikon D3500 to a Nikon D750. I've spent the last four days playing around with it and trying to get to grips with the new features etc. However, my only gripe so far is that it seems I'm unable to autofocus with it by using the view finder? If I switch to...

Beginner Confused, multiple pixels in RAW shoots

I see, that would make much more sense. In which case I believe the MS Photo app is most likely also showing me the same embedded JPEG image You and Nuvv have hit the nail on the head with using the Nikon ViewNX software instead. I've opened up the image and there's little to no noise...

Beginner Confused, multiple pixels in RAW shoots

Yep, not out of pleasure. The arena we were taking pictures in had horrific lighting for a dark bay horse. Upping the ISO was my last resort. I was totally aware I was going to have noise. However, on the camera itself and the "Photos" app in microsoft there is no noise on the image. The issue...

Beginner Confused, multiple pixels in RAW shoots

Ok but that still unfortunately doesn't help. All I've gathered from this is that all of the software I've used to try and process the RAW data has interpreted it wrong and produced granulated spotting in the image. There must be something else I'm missing here?

Beginner Confused, multiple pixels in RAW shoots

Ok, so as far as my understanding goes RAW should have more pixels, more depth and in turn more quality. However, my camera seems to be adding red green and blue pixels throughout the image making it look lower quality wise. My question is, is it something to do with what I'm doing or is it just...

    Wild Which do you prefer?

As they are #1 but if the image is good enough to be cropped you could definitely bring #2 up so the lions were more prominent in the scene.Eg, crop the bottom left corner so you have the lions, the rock and the stream. Then I’d frame both ;)

Beginner Looking to invest in a DSLR

Ok! So I did some research and grabbed myself a bargain Nikon D3500 on ebay Out of pure excitement regardless of the fact that the lighting at the moment is horrific I've managed to take this shot of my mare. It's not the best and I certainly have more playing around to get used to all these new...

    Beginner Profile Portriate Continuity

You could spend the time editing each photo to have the same backgrounds by “cutting out” Or masking each staff member using software such as photoshop or photopea. it would be much easier to try and get your teachers to setup a similar background to begin with if you haven’t tried changing...

Beginner Looking to invest in a DSLR

See this is the quality that's lost in my portrait shot above. You can see the individual hairs which would make that photo an absolutely gorgeous piece to edit. (well, you would also have to darken that coat as the horse is sunbleached too but that's optional.) With the powershot I'm at the...
