There are always some great shots in this competition but find it often rewards over processed unrealistic images
Reckon the Natural Landscape Photography Awards was set up as a counter
Properly simce 2014 so just over 7 years and still learning
One of my biggest regrets is not earlier, went to some amazing places (Kamchatka and 8000m peaks spring to mind) with photos taken on auto with a handheld
I used my 5D Mk IV and lenses at -35c air temperature in Siberia last year they were fine
Also fly my Mavic Pro out there with no problems (think the min operating temperature is something like 0c)
I live in London and agree with the suggestions of the South Bank and Canary Wharf. Also as said Paddington Basin (tripod police) and Little Venice (both walking distance from Paddington) might be worth a look and night street photography around Soho can be good.
Have never had any problems...
Great set, grew up nearby so recognise it and enjoyed looking at them
The processing looks natural and glad you didn’t lift the shadows too much. No 2 is my fave, not too cluttered, superb sky and no blown out area
Thanks a lot Steven and great shots, Dettifoss in particular looks immense

Thanks again for your advice, it is much appreciated
Cheers Steven, I have done a fair bit of research and have a few places I want to see.

Leave in Wednesday so just hope the...

Then I have a week before my flight leaves from Vancouver. My current plan is the...
Thanks Steven, I will take a look at that for locations
My whole week plans are doomed but might be able to manage a long weekend around August bank holiday with a tent so keen to find some different spots
I am planning a photo trip to Iceland this summer and am trying to work the best time to go for long lingering sunsets. Am pretty flexible on dates and the plan is just to hire a car, bring a tent and follow the weather.
I was also thinking July could be the best time but the info I have...
