I happily shoot off 1000 photos in 20-30 minutes and see no evidence of overheating. I only shoot stills though.
Theres a lot of R5’s being sold all around the world and I know a few pros that use them extensivey day after day without any issues.
There will always be faulty cameras. Unlucky...
Thanks for sharing your experience Paul.
Whilst a bit worrying it’s reassuring how efficient Canon UK and E-Infinity have been. It’s a huge endorsement of both.
I agree with your comment entirely that buyers in the UK have been forced to go ‘grey’ due to lack of supplies here.
Before I...
No problem here. I do use the top wheel for exposure compensation.
Its all so easy with ‘what you see is what you get’
I find the R5 and R6 to be absolutely outstanding!
My only negative is I get a sore eye using the electronic viewfinder. Never did with an optical one!
I now tend to shoot with the back screen closed. The battery lasts so much longer and I don’t keep changing settings in error with my nose!
Im getting used to the button positions so change things using the viewfinder most of the time.
That’s great news. Thanks Paul.
That reassures me to buy a few Canon Protect for my other lenses.
I really do feel that the R mirrorless cameras don’t like my Hoya Pro UV filters.
Hi Paul
How are you finding the Canon Protect Filters? Have they solved your sharpness issues?
Im finding that my old EF L glass isn’t that great on the new R cameras and they all have Hoya Pro filters on them. I’m wondering whether that may be the issue!
My RF 100-500 is now superb since...
Sorry. I just saw this.
My last three sales to MPB have taken 8-9 calendar days from collection to payment.
Hopefully you received your payment through ok.
I’m told that they’re operating normally during lockdown so have booked a collection for tomorrow. Fingers crossed that is processed...
It took exactly one week this time for me from the day they received it.
Received Friday. Approved and paid the following Friday.
Not too bad.
I have another item with them that they received Tuesday. Hoping they process it before the lockdown.
I was going to keep selling but with the...
I was getting terrible distortion from the Hoya and it was Canon support that said it was likely to be the filter.
I took the filter off and wow! Problem solved.
I then ordered a canon filter and it seems ok. I can’t guarantee there’s no image loss but I’m nit getting the double images...
All sorted thx
I‘d attached a Hoya Pro UV filter for protection and that was causing the distortion.
Ive replaced it with a genuine canon protection filter and problem solved.
(No such thing as micro focus adjustment on mirrorless cameras. What you see is what you get.)
