"Set you 18-55 to 35mm and spend a day at that range to make sure you're ok with 35, and if you are, go for it."
thats a great idea, i'll do that before i splash out - i'm looking forwards to owning a fast lens, i've never used one before 8-)
imo the camera's are virtually identical, the difference its that Nikons cheaper range of lenses are much better than canons (but not all). dearer lenses are similar.
hi all,
I'm looking at buying a Nikon 35mm af-s lens for my d40X, i've done my research on this lens and looks good for the money and also it's roughly half the price of the Nikon 50mm af-s. I'm also wanting the auto focus so the old 50mm is out of the question.
i currently have the kit...
Dude, not sure about a Chevrolet Lacetti?
why don't you look around for a mk1 ford focus or similar, you can pick up a decent focus for less than a grand and you'll be able to sell it on in a few years time for virtually as much as you paid for it - with little depreciation.
Plus the focus...
Remember the Ford Ka ones?...they still make me smile

yeah! you do feel a whosh of air thru the veiwfinder when you zoom the lens in, also this lens is so bulky that you get a semi-circle of shadow on your subject when you use the built in flash - well, i get both on my d40x!
fantastic lens though. ha ha ha :woot:
i have the nikon 18-200mm and it's never of my camera. people seem to say that this lens is a compromise but as an every day use lens i couldn't recommend it more. buy a newer one as the older ones suffered with lens creep.
i've been following this thread with some interest and have had my eyes opened to a new style of photography.
I had seen this style of photo before and had always thought it had been done with a 'chase' car.. great thread.
8-)
Absolutely fantastic shot, i love this style of photo and think you've captured the scene very well. but i dont remember looe being like this...aint it a harbour town with a small beach?
BOTH THUMBS UP
Just checked the The link above and got to admit that this rig gives a great effect, also some very nice cars...fast hondas, 350z, evos etc. very nice:thumbs:
you need to have your main links in the same div as your logo.
under your logo image add <br>then add your main links.
if this then adds the main links to the right of the logo, change the height of the 'logo' div in your css untill it aligns the way you want.
