It's just about ok wide open for photo but awful for video in low light, my 24-120 however was significantly better at f/4. You don't necessarily need f/2 with modern Nikon bodies as high ISO files are very clean and don't always even need denoise. I'd recommend f/2.8 or f/4 if you use the 40mm...

Excellent, look forward to seeing some shots.

Couple of observations recently, having had a Q3 and an X100VI sitting side by side the build quality of the Fuji is right up there, personally I see no difference and the X100 is prettier. It's certainly a case of diminishing returns. If they bring out an RF II with IBIS the Q3 would be harder...
