    Handsome little beauty

What you are thinking as too dark with the vignette is the hedge and when used with the 800mm equivalent can look like vignette where as very little was used and that was just at the base of the picture, below is a picture of a dove against the very same bush but done at a much sorter lens...

A few I took in my garden today

The trouble is these little birds are only there for about 2/3 seconds and I cant really ask them if they would be kind enough to look towards me. also I have certain limitations that stop me from waiting in a hide all day I usually have one hour tops then have to pack it in for the day so can't...

A few I took in my garden today

Thanks tman for the comment about sharpening I think some people seem to forget when your working on tight shots like I like doing that is with no or very little cropping that you are going to see a lot more detail where as if you take a shot of a bird 20 ft away in a tree your just not going...

    Three that came to visit.

I agree it was a yellow bush and quite dark (in shade) when I started but the sun came through for a short while and lite the bush up but I didn't think it would be like that. I will have a go and darken it a bit. Cheers John

Thanks for comments, I didn't do any work on their eyes funny really when I did lift the eyes before people said said it was wasn't right?. I do agree about the bust behind I thought it would have come out much darker that was quite a surprise really. Very good sugestion about cloning out the...

    Three that came to visit.

Moved my hide to the front garden and used my new hide as the old one had seen better days, this one has a good camouflaged net to view through plus I made a camouflaged lens cover all of which has made a big difference. P1100543fr by John Ingrouille, on Flickr P1100741fr by John Ingrouille...

High-end bridge cameras: Sony RX10, Panasonic FZ1000 etc

I took this September this year using My RX10 Mk 3, I find this a great camera and have done many prints 19x13" which look stunning quality also a 22x18" which looked as good as any of the larger formats at normal viewing distance rather than pixel peeking.
