I love the overall feel of the image, the one thing that spoils it for me are the legs in the centre foreground. Masking them on screen with a hand dramatically improves both the composition and the light balance within the rest of the image.

I know I will get flack for saying this and probably missing the point but the DOF seems too shallow in both to do the subject matter justice. In the first its acknowledged the tattoo is OOF and in the second the eyes are not as sharp as the tattoo which would seem to be a no no in most portraits.

Do any of you regular street photographers ever get worried about being in some of those locations with expensive kit? I want to explore this area of photography but worry about the risks.
