    Well, fat balls, suet tray, sunflower seeds- all placed to tempt the local bird population. Got a blackbird as normal, one robin, two wood pigeons- I reckon they found a better restaurant elsewhere lol oh well try again tomorrow!!

    Congrats Steve, nothing is quite like your first ever kingfisher shot!! I got mine just before xmas after about 3 years of not even seeing one at all, and with a 300mm too, now I'm determined to get him closer!!! Good luck with your future kingfisher hunting

    My first Kingfisher

    It was taken at Mere Sands Woods- Rufford. He is still about, best chance to see it is round 830am or 230pm most days. I saw him Thur last but he didnt land, just flew past! lol

    Well this has taken me a longgggg time to getthis image, and ok I know it isnt the best in the world... but hey!!! I GOT IT!! :banana: Time now to hope that he comes closer- or I can afford a longer lens! Nikon D5000 with a 55-300mm
