I got the 60D and it does the job just fine. I didnt like the touch screen on the 650D because if you are out in colder weather you cant use it with your gloves on. 650D is better if you plan on doing a lot of video. Stick to the 60D if its just for photos.

I am looking to use a filter for the main purpose of protecting my lens. There seems to be a few different types, what would you suggest and why? Do the expensive ones have any real advantage over the cheaper ones.

I am looking to buy myself a new DSLR, I used a Nikon F4 previously, then had a Nikon Coolpix 5700. Now I am not sure whether to go for Nikon D90, D7000 or Canon 650D or 60D. I will be using it to do Studio photography as well as Landscapes. Would just like some of your thoughts, pros and cons...
