Feedback - How to react to it?

First off, those are fantastic images. I personally would take it as a compliment. "It looks like AI" is basically the new "Wow you must have a nice camera!" - People who aren't into photography like it, but they can't articulate why. People who are into photography will appreciate the work...

The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Odd that they'd include a switch when Fuji have the switch on the body... Which one takes precedence? I'd imagine the body switch would overrule the lens. Are you using back button focus? IIRC there is a setting for "Instant AF" or something like that, that lets you BBF while in MF. I think...

I used to shoot raw to 1 and jpg to 2, that would leave me space to save movies to 2. I figured my jpgs were never so far out that they'd be unusable in the event that card 1 failed. I never shot professionally so my risk tolerance was high.

AI Slop, Advertising and Visual Literacy

Absolutely. If your google-fu is strong and you're used to asking precise questions and giving all relevant info, it's great. Every response should be pressed, questioned, and confirmed. It is a conversation, not a question>answer machine.

AI Slop, Advertising and Visual Literacy

I'm seeing slop more and more in advertisements. There are entire youtube channels that host nothing but AI created and AI narrated videos, and they have thousands of subs. They have the same style as written AI, repeating the same points several times just worded differently, then bolting on a...

    Dev or scanning issue??

Impossible to tell without seeing the negatives, but given the similar placement in all of them I'd wager it's a scanning issue.

Had a few fledglings using my bonsai trees for practice over the weekend. 100-400 felt like overkill... Fledglings by Jamie Moulton, on Flickr Fledglings (Wide) by Jamie Moulton, on Flickr Fledglings by Jamie Moulton, on Flickr

There is something to be said for the physical aspect. I took a bunch of fantastic digital images on my trip of a lifetime to Japan, but they are just lights on a screen, a representation. The negatives on the other hand... They're not a reproduction, they haven't been copied from one media to...

Had one for my XT5 and it was fine. Couldn't tell any difference from the Fuji.

I had heard (and experienced) the opposite - They're slightly more subtle, but not by much.

    AI in Post Processing

I haven't used it much, but from what I've tested I think it's great for denoising. I'm starting to use it more for masking/object selection - It can still be hit and miss but I'll try it first and if it can't do it right I do it myself. Content aware fill is just witchcraft now. It blows my...

Loved mine. I eventually "upgraded" it to the 70-300mm but IQ was pretty much the same, just with a bit more reach. The fact that these are so cheap now is mind boggling!
