Edges are fine. Extreme corners see a little weirdness, but it looks more like the usual ultrawide distortion/stretching rather than softness or field curvature. AF is as good as any other lens, though I haven't given it anything particularly taxing - I suspect it will be as good as any body...

I have one. Not used it in anger yet but not seen anything unpleasant in testing. Thing is so light i question if there's any glass in it at all!

As it happens, I just won a viltrox 90mm in a contest. I no longer have a Fuji or any APSC camera, so I'm going to see if I can switch for something I can use. If not, there will be one in classifieds for a good price soon. ;)

Good shout. The more recent ones are actually decent - and pretty damn good if you're stopping them down.

I guess it depends on your size/weight tolerence, which body you'll be shooting on, and whether you tend towards the wide or the long end...

They do, but IIRC the dedicated switch on the X-Txx series also changes the focus area, metering, face detect etc.

Took a quick walk on my lunch break to test out my new 1.4x TC. As I crossed over a stream I spotted this pretty lady resting on a leaf around 9-10ft away. I had to do some precarious leaning over the bridge railing and shooting at arms length to get to within 6-7ft. Overall, pretty happy...

Having switched to Sony, it is a noticeable difference - But it's a ridiculously high bar to set. The Sony is practically clairvoyant. The X-T5 I had, and even the X-T3, were more than enough for anyone who isn't being paid to get the next NatGeo shot of a lifetime. Perfectly fine for sports...

I stopped agonising about it a long time ago, now I just ask myself what I feel like shooting with. You'll drive yourself nuts looking at the moon rising over a city and thinking "Oh if only I had my 800mm and 2 x TC, I could get an epic shot of that building silhouetted against the moon" or...

First off, those are fantastic images. I personally would take it as a compliment. "It looks like AI" is basically the new "Wow you must have a nice camera!" - People who aren't into photography like it, but they can't articulate why. People who are into photography will appreciate the work...

Odd that they'd include a switch when Fuji have the switch on the body... Which one takes precedence? I'd imagine the body switch would overrule the lens. Are you using back button focus? IIRC there is a setting for "Instant AF" or something like that, that lets you BBF while in MF. I think...

I used to shoot raw to 1 and jpg to 2, that would leave me space to save movies to 2. I figured my jpgs were never so far out that they'd be unusable in the event that card 1 failed. I never shot professionally so my risk tolerance was high.
