The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

With the rumour mill predicting that the XT6 will be announced in first week of September (2026), if that is true there will probably be a glut of low use secondhand XT5 cameras becoming available. Until we see the specs of the XT6 then how much of a step forward it is compared to the XT5 is...

The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

How are you finding the XT5 and 16-55 experience? Has it clarified your thoughts one way o another. I find the new 16-55 mkii a much better lens than the mki version. Only downside if it could be so considered is the weight ?build quality? of the lighter mkii might be less good. Only time...

Enjoy. I rate it as the best Fuji that I have used.

    Home Studio Camera Stand

Given the choice I would prefer what you have but I am content with what I have.

New home Studio with large skylight

You might want to make the open/closing of the blackout screen for the skylight to be bi-directional so you can open and close from either end/side.

    Home Studio Camera Stand

I have this lighting stand for small lights and flash heads. It is very stable. It works well for 35mm DSLR and mirrorless cameras as well...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Fine picture, Jeff. Never seen one of those before. Almost as colourful as the African Bee Eaters that I never managed to get a sharp image in flight image of, when I lived in Spain. They fly around at high speed and seldom settle, but occasionally will rest on a telephone line.

The menu item is now d19 (I think, well it is on my Zf).

Pack your waterproofs, it is currently very windy and with horizontal rain.

I agree but I tend to use the Z8 with the 24-120 and the Z9 with 100-400+TCx1.4, and the Z7 with 14-30.

I have it and think that it is great. If I need longer then I add the TC x1.4. I would say that on the Z8/9 the lens +TC combo works really well as it is a balanced setup but on Z7/Zf it does not feell as good.

I really like SmallRig products. I have their base grips on all my recent Nikon and Fuji cameras. I also have a pair of their torch shaped and sized LED lights.

Fine shot. I have some shots as they land and enter the nest but catching them in flight is much more difficult as I shot single shot so my success rate is much less than shooting at 20fps.

Yes it is on the Sony A7R VI. It is perfect. I am happy with the screen on the Zf as I never use it except for occasional image review or Menu changes, in fact I turn it over to face inwards.

Thanks. Looks great that way round. I do wish Nikon would release a 45MP version of the Zf. Exactly the same features but 45MP.
