    Nikon Z* mirrorless

I'm very envious, I've only been there once for a track day (aside from Project Cars 2 :D)

    Best shows on Prime/Netflix?

It definitely doesn't have the look or feel of a superhero cash-in as it looks quite different to the normal superhero stuff. I'd liked the Tobey Maguire era of Spiderman but was fed up with the multiple reboots then shoehorned into the MCU as well however I was really amazed at the Spiderverse...

    Best shows on Prime/Netflix?

I haven't watched it yet, would you recommend black and white if you were watching it for the first time?

    How Many Shots?

This is what I find, it's great being able to put the camera into 20fps and be able to pick out the shot that has the exact timing I want. What I like about newer cameras is they nail most shots so it's easier to pick out the one I want whereas on older cameras during a burst I'd have to...

    PlusNet woes

I would recommend asking on ISPreview which is a small UK site with a lot of expertise on UK ISPs and broadband which I've found very helpful: https://www.ispreview.co.uk/talk/forums/broadband-fixed-line.103/

    How Many Shots?

It hugely varies depending on what I'm taking photos of which in some cases can mean very few photos such as landscape or scenic shots while trying to get an action shot or motorsports can be thousands per day.

    Heights

Sorry, I completely misunderstood your post but hope others have helped.

    Heights

I don't think it matters whether I or others could cope with the height, what does matter is if you can cope and do what you're comfortable with. Personally I've not given a thought to heights in hotels and restaurants but I have a terrible phobia of needles which as much as I've tried to be...

Why are people buying electric cars?

You don't even need to look at the sales figures because many of the standard cars are just gone now, the Ka has been discontinued and replaced the Puma mini-SUV and the Fiesta and Mondeo are both gone as well. I was frustrated when Mazda discontinued the Mazda6 however they pointed out barely...

Why are people buying electric cars?

I think I pay £425 for a basic 170bhp petrol engine which is the pre-cheating/rule bending era so it gets absolutely hammered which is a bit annoying given it emits very little CO2 in reality since it rarely moves these days but just something I have to live with.

    Android obsolescence?

Exactly...how it's always been with new features that aren't supported on older hardware. I'd take it as a plus my phone can't run some genAI garbage anyway. I had a Lumia 925 years ago and thought it was a really nice design with a plastic material that felt good in hand but tough as well.

A7C zoom lens for an enthusiast

If you want a single lens with a large zoom range then I'd recommend having a look at the Tamron 28-300mm lens which is the longest zoom in E-mount I believe: https://petapixel.com/2024/08/03/tamron-28-300mm-f-4-7-1-di-iii-vc-vxd-review-going-back-to-its-roots/ I've not used this lens myself...

Why has my Panasonic TZ99 not got any internal memory ? ! ?

The 'esoteric' features cost them nothing because they're just software but adding the memory does cost money so if they can save it, they do. Even my £4000 camera has no internal memory so it's just something you have to accept.

Why has my Panasonic TZ99 not got any internal memory ? ! ?

It's extremely rare for cameras to have their own memory and the reasons are likely that it saves money (even if only a very small amount) and most people won't use or need it. DJI do have a small amount of memory on some of their camera and drones which has saved me a couple of times when I...
