    Boats - an open thread

Hi Howard, sometimes small optical triggers can produce 'illusions' of tilt in your perception of a photo and this may be so in these. The red boat is easiest, look at the angle of the house in the background and adjust in your crop/rotation tool until it is more vertical, The blue one is not...

The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Yep, that's near enough what they said. You can see their reasoning. On the other hand, WEX online take your order but don't actually charge until they have a camera on the way in. I'm sure with the demand, there'd be no shortage of buyers for LCE to sell unwanted cameras to, because as they...

Having a mooch around LCE Chester this morning , " Oh, what's the lead time on a x100vi then.?." - "Three to six months sir.. .. . . and you have to pay a £150 deposit to get on the list . . " In the time honoured News of the World reporters tradition I made my excuses and left...

A nice gap between the foreground figures leading us into the only face looking toward the camera. Nice one George.

Did you use the 'Car' detection setting Lewis, it's very good, very fast to lock on. The 'bike' setting is also pretty good - last year at Oulton it was locking focus on biker's helmets. :)

How do I place a working link to Google Photos on my Facebook page?

Yeah there was a post in GP back in 2019 bemoaning this failing of not being able to create hierarchies of albums - strangely Google with all its money and resources doesn't seem to listen to users requests. If you have Adobe Photo plan, (£9.98/month) you also get Adobe Portfolio for free so you...

Cheers Gav, this low angle shot was made possible by standing halfway down the stairs and waiting for a subject to walk into frame.
