Who profiles it? are you talking about the general public? Sorry news flash, the general public would not have a clue what any of this means, more and more people are using their TV’s for shopping and the like, good luck profiling them.

And what do you do when your colour is off on your “unprofiled device” ? Facts are facts everyone is looking at something different. This is of course what we have found after over 1.6 million published images into a very colour specific area such as fashion.

Critique on slight colour issues is simply not possible, that’s life.

^ this, it’s an impossible task, it’s why as a studio we never use colour calibrated monitors, my advice, look at it on your phone or iPad, people usually cannot mess with the default on these type of devices.

Surely the image won, not what took it :) does highlight though that the gear is secondary to a good eye.

You are technically correct, however, the CAA passed all investigation and prosecution to the local plod, and I am sure they have better things to do. As for the being licenced, that is just a tax, it’s ok to do something if you pay, but it becomes dangerous if you don’t, it’s the loonies...

The only way is to take the leap. that said, would what your thinking of doing make you any cash? I am not sure, my dad looked at baby and portrait stuff a while back, and considering there would be zero risk as the kit and an entire studio is aleard there, it just didn’t seem worth the time...

Well then simply go to Apple and buy a MacBook job done. And people do care what kit you have to a point.

What’s your budget? Either option new are £1200+. And from a client perspective your gong to look better pulling out a Mac book than a pc, sad but true :)

I get your point, But IMHO I wouldn't consider mirrorless to be an evolutionary enhancement currently, if anything I would put them below DSLR at the moment.
