Nikon SA-21 Adaptor (with Coolscan V)

HMMM!!!!!!! It has been a while since I used mine but from what I remember the SA-21 would take the whole strip into the holder, I think to work out where the images were, then spit it partially out and wait for you to decide which of the strip you wanted to scan. I was using Vuescan (a small...

    Nikon 80-400mm vs 200-500mm

I have a 200-500 Nikon and it is indeed a heavy bit of kit especially if you stick one of their Pro bodies on the back like D2/D3 and others. On the 80-400, I would read around because I think there were two version and one is noticeably slower AF than the other.

Micro 4 3rds sell it to me

Sell you on M 4/3? There is a fairly large range of cameras you can now choose from, both Olympus & Panasonic (Panasonic GH5 series still highly regarded video machine). Their IBIS, especially on early cameras is really good, when compared to other machine of the same era. Colours out of them...

    Motorbikes

Hmm Kawasaki Z1 been on the back of one them, interesting when the throttle opened you could feel the frame flex. :runaway: As for the CBX1000 knew someone who stuck a tube on one and it did not kick in till the bike was doing 70mph

    Recommend me a 100-400 combo

@Mr Perceptive Well if you have got a kit then first race at Oulton in March 23, bikes, so if your there in the morning head over to the outside of Lodge, there will be a couple of us shooting through the fence before the sun starts to catch it.

    Digital Medium Format Thread

That is very tempting, however, I am terribly unfit plus I would probably moan, I mean moan a lot (famous amongst my friends for it) so much so that you would probably throw me off the top or push me down a mine shaft :ROFLMAO:

    Recommend me a 100-400 combo

I agree with @snerkler and I had forgotten about the crop factor of the D500, the 200-500 is a fab lens but its HEAVY, I have to use mine on a monopod.

    Recommend me a 100-400 combo

If weight is something to consider then mirror less is the way. If not then if you want to stay on the budget end (I do :ROFLMAO: ) the you have a load of DSLR options. Nikon D500 + 200- 500 (I use one of those lens round Oulton and the 200 end is only really an issue if your shooting at Lodge...

    Is digital dead now?

Well, now that's makes for a more interesting question  With the rise of AI Imaging, you never know. ;)

    Is digital dead now?

Maybe. Saying that the ability to photograph a black cat in a coal cellar at midnight and get a poster size print seems to have gone off the agenda when I watch reviews, it seems more about AF and speed abilities.
