I have several 45cl4 units I used to use with my mamiya equipment. Excellent piece of equipment, and their Auto thyristor exposure cell was incredibly accurate. Much better than TTL when that first came out.

My metz was almost always bang on. My 283 was also very good. Only semi-modern gun i know that offers it is the Can 580exii.
Edit - apparently, the 600ex-rt range of Canon flashes also offers it. Will even transfer ISO and lens...
The x1 and the x-pro ii (i think) have a single pin mode. Custom function 1 on on the x1 i believe. I use nikon x1 regularly on canons firing ad600bm models and it works fine with fewer, if any, misfires. Loss of ttl (no ttl on BM models anyway) and focus assist light is worth it for the more...
Only relevant for portraits, but your 85 will become the lens on mirror-less you always wish it were on dslr.

The front material yellows with age and usage, like many softbox diffusers. Well known problem.
Easy fix is a very pale blue gel on the flashes you use to illuminate it.
