    Flash player on ipad

I'm on android 4.1, so basically unless you sideload apks you can't get iplayer, as it requires flash on android (not available for android 4+ ) Which is nice.

    Flash player on ipad

Adobe seem to be trying to 'persuade' people away from using flash on all mobile devices... the problem is a load of websites seem to be pretending it isn't happening <paddington bear hard stare at BBC Iplayer>

If you had to learn a new language....

When I did a Spanish course this made me laugh so much, and make f!ck a bus my favourite swear work for about a month. There's some other stuff that's a bit more obscure than that, like slang for female parts, but we haven't even standardised that in the UK regions

If you had to learn a new language....

Isn't one of them around the verb 'coger'? So in Spanish you'd use coger to say you were catching the bus... but in Mexico it would end up with you saying that you were going to f!ck a bus?

Joined a Gym - Advice please

Polar is the big brand in HRMs. A lot of it is what you want it to be able to do, if all you want to know is your heart rate at a given time, then you could get the bottom of the line one. I found the 'sealed' straps weren't very comfy with a bra but that could just be me being a pain. If...

Joined a Gym - Advice please

<I am not a doctor or a personal trainer> Some of the gym equipment will have inaccurate sensors, also, be aware if someone near you is wearing a flash heart rate monitor their signal could be picked up by your machine. However, I would say that 180bpm seems high - as a chunky lass I was...

    Lake District + Camping

If you do give camping a go, non-members can stay on the Camping and Caravan Club site on the edge of Derwent Water. If your tent is small you can stay on the section of the site right next to the lake shore, and it's a short walk to the pubs/supermarket in Keswick, and you can walk to some nice...

    New York

Grand Central Station is great. I preferred the views from Empire State building to Top of the Rock, but I'm obsessed with the Chrysler building. I'd love to do some night shots from either, and they day time views aren't bad! A friend of mine went here...

Recommend me places to visit in Manchester

Urbis was closed last time I was in town - part of some refurbishment/repurposing. Shopping: Trafford Centre or City Centre are best. Salford quays is good for photography but the mall there is pretty pokey and empty. Museums: I have a soft spot for the Museum of Science and Industry...
