Exactly what I did. My A7RIV now permanently wears a Smallrig L-bracket, which then fits straight nto my Arca PO head/Quickset Fliplock clamp. It's perfection as a combo, and switching from landscape to portrait takes about 5 seconds.

Finally bit the bullet. Ironically, it was more expensive at the current sale price than it was when I started this thread! :muted:

Given that it seems to offer a nice soft light (I think I did see some difference in the video posted above), and that there may be some benefits with regard to the accessories... perhaps there is a use case as a first purchase but not one as an upgrade?

Well, having posted this back in April I went on to pick up a beautiful Stage 2 Sport Glide FLSB with very little mileage on the clock. 1750cc of American muscle, and I'm loving it!

Thanks for both of those suggestions, which would work in a technical sense. However, having bought into the Rotalux ecosystem (at some cost) it would be counter-productive to then introduce other brands of softbox; I also wouldn't want to mix & match diffusers as they have their own...

Hi all - first off, happy holidays! I was about to buy a Rotagrid for my 100cm Rotalux octabox, but am frankly nonplussed by the price Elinchrom are charging (£158) for something that no doubt costs next to nothing to make. Does anyone know of any more sensibly priced alternatives that'll fit...

I have to say that if people spoke to each other in real life like they do on here there'd be a lot of black eyes and broken noses. Why the needless aggression - it's not exactly a good look for the forum, is it?
