How to use a Tilt and Shift lens for table top photography ?

hey ed, i've been considering the mirex adapter for quite sometime now but i'm concerned about the sift mechanism. i also own a 50mm f/4 Distagon CF T* lens but the image circle on the rear of the lens seems so small, wont this show up on photos when i have the adapter sifted? if it doesn't, and...
