    Typhoon....call sign Havoc.

Mr Jones, I have no idea where you have concocted this idea that it is the same jet on both images. As with any other fast moving object, it is taken with a burst and if you're lucky, you'll end up with a number of similar-looking images - sometimes in focus - while the object passes through...

    International GT Open - Silverstone

Managed to obtain a media pass for Silverstone this weekend. I was due to go to Oulton Park but couldn't miss this opportunity. Weather was fantastic and all the Silverstone crew were amazing - so helpful. I was experimenting with uber-slow shutter speeds, got a shed load to go through but...

Old Warden Wings and Wheels 2014

Spent an enjoyable and excellent day at Old Warden. I'd been itching to go for ages and I must say I was absolutely amazed!! It was such a brilliant show, great commentary, friendly staff, a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere - full credit to the Shuttleworth Collection staff, volunteers and...

One from Waddington . . . for now

It's going to take some time to get through the backlog of photos I have to edit, what with Fairford this weekend and a whole load of others to get through. Here's one I caught of the Canberra that caught my eye from Sunday at Waddington. Silver skies by Ian Garfield Images, on Flickr

    Some sunset shots

Thanks! I used Photomatix on the HDR ones, the others are just pulled through lightroom and then photoshop. It was an amazing evening, so many colours throughout the sunset ranging from yellows, oranges, blues and purples as the sun went down. With regards to the one with people on, I did...

    Some sunset shots

I've had a ton of photos to go through and I've only just got round to finishing editing a batch from August 2012. These were taken at Barmouth after a visit to watch some low flying :). Rays across the beach by Ian Garfield, on Flickr Watching the sun go down by Ian Garfield, on Flickr...

    is this worth rescuing?

I like the colour cast that is on it, the orange sky works well with the green grass and gives the image atmosphere. You could perhaps try cropping off the fence before the first post??

    Bovine intervention

I went out with the intention of photographing some birds at various places near Lichfield. Unfortunately, there was naff all about! Coming back from a bird hide, I passed by a cow field and decided that it'd be better not to come back empty handed so I fired away on a couple of cows that...

    Hello everyone from The Midlands!

Hi all, just signed up here. I'm from Lichfield although I live in Walsall at present (I still have all my camera gear!!!). Been doing photography for 15 odd years or so, looking to share my work with others and gain some tips, experience and have some banter with like-minded folk.
