    British GT - Oulton Park

Well that's that idea out of the window then, spectating it is.

    British GT - Oulton Park

Thanks, the space was actually quite hard, there was a lot of people there, so I had to crop out heads, big AWS foam boards and all sorts but most of them thankfully ended up fairly well. Trackside was a pain, the place was heaving on Sunday and I spent a lot of it with very small window to pan...

    British GT - Oulton Park

So this was my first foray into motorsport photography, still learning to use my D750, 200-500 and Lightroom, but I feel like I got some great results this weekend. Started off with some pretty fast settings to capture some sharp images of the cars and then got a bit more creative as the day...

    Aviation Photography at MCR

The reason I took some shots with that busy foreground is because otherwise you never get a perspective of size, all these mightily impressive jets taxing past me and in the photos they just end up looking like planes, but in this one of the Qatar I took, I think you get a real sense of size...

    Aviation Photography at MCR

Not posted on here in a while, in that time I've been getting progressively better (I think) with the D750 and 200-500. Got myself out in this poor weather recently and got myself to the runway visitor park at Manchester airport to grab some moody photos, I'm really please with how they've come...

    My first Robin

Starting to get the hang of the new lens & camera for that matter, and I was lucky whilst wandering through Etherow country park that this landed on a branch about 6ft away from me which is the closest I've got to anything interesting recently. It's a shame there was no sunshine to really make...

    Mandarin Ducks

Went back to Etherow, tried to find the Heron/Kingfisher and had no luck. So I walked to Brabyns park to see if I could find the Kingfisher there, nothing. Oh dear! Done 18,200 steps though so at least I got some exercise in. Managed to get a closer shot of a Mandarin again, got some more...

    Mandarin Ducks

Amazing, thanks Mike. Familiar with all those places and as weird as it is I saw the Kingfisher (and a group of photographers) when I went there completely spontaneously on Sunday. It was hanging around the little pond as you enter, on the left. Might get back there sometime soon.

    Mandarin Ducks

Any other local areas you'd recommend? Itching to get out as much as I can. The lens you had looked bloody massive, I thought mine was cumbersome to carry around.

    Mandarin Ducks

Haha yes it was, I thought you were committed The first pic is from that bridge. What a small world!

    Mandarin Ducks

I realise now I've missed the birds category. Feel free to move it mods.

    Mandarin Ducks

Well here's my first attempt at wildlife photography, a local park to me (Etherow Country Park) has a bunch of Mandarin ducks knocking about, so I took my new lens down with some lovely sun light after work and got these few pics, really happy with how they've come out. View...

Camera Bag for Nikon 200-500 + others

That's a great resource thanks. Well a lot of options have come out of this thread so thanks all. I will report back with whatever I go for. -Lew

Camera Bag for Nikon 200-500 + others

That's some useful feedback, thanks. I was originally wanting a bag small enough to fit in the plane when I go flying somewhere, hence my Lowepro 150. But then the more I think about it, I also need to take clothes and stuff if I stay somewhere so your point becomes very valid and rather than...

Camera Bag for Nikon 200-500 + others

Thanks all for the recommendations, the Flipside option is looking good! Is it still practical enough to take places as well though, ie. not OTT? I have a bulky tripod to lug around as well sometimes and I disliked carrying that in my hands last time, so the idea of bolting it onto the bag is...
