    Thanks for the comments everyone :) 1, 2 and 3 are all the view from Corbies Crags just west of Alnwick. 4 is Druridge Bay. I've took onboard the advice and cropped the third image, (and added a frame), hopefully this is the right idea: I'm not sure what the best way to crop the fourth...

    Cheers for the welcome folks! First thing I'm gonna do now is to familiarise myself with the search functionality and look for some advice on sensor cleaning - got a few marks which appear in pics I've took which have clear sky in them....

    Hello all! I've recently obtained my first DSLR, (upgraded from a Canon Powershot A95 to a Canon EOS 30D courtesy of my Dad!), and am just beginning the process of trying to get some decent pics on my Flickr account. Hopefully I'll get some pointers and help from you all along the way...
