I love this picture but would prefer my wife standing out a little more. A flash killed the background so is it a case of one the the other? Or any tricks you could share?

Is it possible to convert a raw CR2 file to jpeg in elements 15? I can only seem to convert to dng Would appreciate any advice as just come back from Alta Norway and took all my northern lights pics in raw. I've got an app on my tablet that can do it, photo mate r3 so surely theres a way on...
